Kony 2012

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc <--- Kony 2012 video

The video is very touching, but stuff like this has been happening for decades. It is really sad that this stuff is happening, and I would like to stop it, but I think our money could be going towards our Own countries problems such as poverty and child hunger. We have a great life in Canada, but I think people think it's better than it really is. We should solve our own problems beofre we solve other's problems. We still should donate some money to the cause to find Kony, but we shouldn't send any troops there and we should be more concious of our own problems.

  1. Carter, your blog post makes me happy to be a teacher and proud to be interning at O'Neill. I'm glad that my message of looking into our own backyard resonated within you. I believe that making a difference in our own country is just as important as making a difference in others'. It's great that you recognize that people think that Canada is better than it really is. Canada is a great place to live and one of the best in the world; but we often turn a blind eye to our own problems. For example, 115,000 people were living in poverty in Saskatchewan in 2008 and this number just keeps rising. Thank you for taking note of the message I was sending.
